History

Au Pied de Mont Chauve is an Aloxe-Corton estate with a portfolio that reaches well beyond its home commune. Aloxe-Corton sits at the northern tip of the Côte de Beaune, sharing the Corton hill with Pernand-Vergelesses and Ladoix-Serrigny — the only stretch of the Côte de Beaune to produce Grand Cru red alongside Grand Cru white. Public records on the estate's founding are sparse, but its roots are in the tradition of village domaines whose identity is built parcel by parcel.

Winemaking Approach

Sixteen parcels spread across five communes give this mid-sized estate an unusually varied palette — one Grand Cru and fifteen Premier Crus. That span naturally pulls the range toward terroir contrast rather than a single house signature. Each wine is bottled under the domaine model, keeping the parcels distinct rather than blending across appellations.
