History

Bruno Colin is a Chassagne-Montrachet estate carved from the wider Colin family holdings when the previous generation divided their vineyards among their children. Bruno's share came with a breadth that few peers match: fourteen parcels stretching from a sliver of Chevalier-Montrachet (0.04 ha) through numerous Chassagne and Santenay Premiers Crus, reaching as far south as Maranges. That dispersal makes the domaine an unusually complete portrait of southern Côte de Beaune white Burgundy.

Winemaking Approach

The Chardonnay-dominant portfolio includes one Grand Cru and thirteen Premiers Crus across five communes. Chevalier-Montrachet at 0.04 ha is minute — fewer than 200 bottles in a full year — yet its presence anchors the estate's hierarchy. Chassagne Premiers Crus such as En Remilly, Les Chaumées, and Morgeot form the productive core, while Les Gravières in Santenay and La Fussière in Maranges show the estate's willingness to work less fashionable terroirs with the same attention. The style tends toward precision and mineral tension over weight.
