History

Marc Colin & Ses Fils is a Chassagne-Montrachet estate built around the Colin family's deep roots in the southern Côte de Beaune. Chassagne straddles the boundary between the great white-wine corridor anchored by Puligny and the village's own vigorous red-wine tradition — and the Colin parcels reflect that duality. The domaine operates under the "& Ses Fils" structure, meaning the sons work the estate alongside their father, spreading responsibility across the generation that will carry it forward.

Winemaking Approach

The estate works 15 parcels across 5 communes — a footprint broad enough to hold genuine terroir contrast from Saint-Aubin's higher-elevation limestone to the heavy clay-limestone mix of central Chassagne. Two Grand Cru parcels anchor the range; 13 Premier Cru plots fill out the portfolio. Vinification follows the Côte de Beaune domaine model: parcel-by-parcel identity, traditional barrel ageing, and bottling at the estate.
