Profile

History

Domaine Marc Morey is a Chassagne-Montrachet estate with holdings in four communes across the southern Côte de Beaune. The domaine's pivot point is a meaningful slice of Bâtard-Montrachet — at 0.23 ha, one of the more substantial individual holdings in that tightly divided Grand Cru — which establishes the estate's standing alongside its broader Premier Cru portfolio in Chassagne, Puligny, and Saint-Aubin.

Winemaking Approach

Seven parcels across four communes keep the operation focused and legible. The Chassagne Premier Crus — Les Chenevottes, Les Vergers, Morgeot, and En Virondot — each occupy distinct terrain within the village: Chenevottes faces east on shallow soils, Vergers sits on classic limestone scree, Morgeot sprawls across the southern slope, and Virondot lies on a cooler mid-slope band. Saint-Aubin's Le Charmois and Puligny's Les Pucelles extend the white-wine arc northward. Vinification is traditional, estate-bottled, and parcel-specific.
