History

Domaine Jean Chartron is based in Aloxe-Corton but draws the core of its identity from Puligny-Montrachet — one of Burgundy's premier white-wine addresses. The estate works eleven parcels across six communes, including fragments of three Grand Cru sites.

Winemaking Approach

Grand Cru footholds in Chevalier-Montrachet (0.28 ha), Bâtard-Montrachet (0.13 ha), and Corton-Charlemagne (0.09 ha) anchor the upper tier, while eight Premier Cru parcels stretch from Puligny and Chassagne into Saint-Aubin and Rully. That spread across six communes naturally pulls the range toward terroir contrast rather than a single house signature. Cellar details are not widely published.
