History

Domaine Étienne Sauzet is based in Puligny-Montrachet — the village at the summit of white Burgundy, home to four Grands Crus including Le Montrachet and a dense lineup of premier crus. The domaine was founded by Étienne Sauzet in the early twentieth century and has passed through the family, building a portfolio that now spans eleven parcels including two Grands Crus. Public sources offer limited detail on specific transitions within the family succession.

Winemaking Approach

With two Grands Crus and nine Premier Crus spread across Puligny-Montrachet and a second commune, the estate produces a wide range of white Burgundy from a concentrated geographic base. The house style leans toward precision and minerality — qualities that the Puligny limestone naturally encourages. Vineyards are farmed under standard Côte de Beaune AOC regulations and bottled at the domaine.
