History

Domaine François Carillon emerged from one of Puligny-Montrachet's most storied families. When the Domaine Louis Carillon was divided between siblings around 2010, François took his share of the family vineyards and established this independent estate — inheriting parcels that had been farmed by the Carillon family for generations. The domaine is based in Chambolle-Musigny but its heart lies in Puligny-Montrachet, where the family name has long been associated with precise, mineral-driven Chardonnay.

Winemaking Approach

Twelve parcels across 4 communes give the estate a broad Côte de Beaune palette, from the tiny Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru (0.04 ha) down through a deep roster of Puligny Premier Crus and holdings in Chassagne-Montrachet and Saint-Aubin. Champ Gain at 2 ha is the largest single parcel. The winemaking follows the Carillon family tradition — minimal intervention, restrained oak, and an emphasis on site expression over stylistic imprint.
