Profile

History

Domaine Rapet Père & Fils is based in Pernand-Vergelesses, the small hillside village that shares the Corton massif with Aloxe-Corton and Ladoix-Serrigny at the northern end of the Côte de Beaune. The family has worked vineyards in this corner of Burgundy across multiple generations, building an estate that now spans five communes.

Winemaking Approach

Rapet's range stretches from Corton Grand Cru down through premiers crus in Pernand-Vergelesses, Beaune, and Savigny-lès-Beaune — thirteen parcels in total (2 Grand Cru, 11 Premier Cru). The breadth is notable: few estates can move between Corton-Charlemagne and Beaune premier cru within a single portfolio. The estate bottles each parcel separately, letting the different soils and aspects speak individually rather than blending across sites.
