ペルナン・ヴェルジュレス村が誇る銘醸畑イル・デ・ヴェルジュレスは、コート・ド・ボーヌを代表する一級畑の一つである。標高約260メートルから310メートルの東向き斜面に位置し、石灰岩と粘土が混ざり合う土壌が特徴だ。総面積は約9.4ヘクタールで、最大所有者のシャンソン・ペール・エ・フィスが5.31ヘクタールを保持するほか、シャンドン・ド・ブリアイユやテナール、ルイ・ラトゥール、ロラン、デュブルイユ・フォンテーヌなどが区画を所有している。この地が生むワインは、村名にその名が冠されていることからも分かる通り、このコミューンにおいて最も重要かつ象徴的な存在として高く評価されている。
Île des Vergelesses is a premier cru *climat* in Pernand-Vergelesses, on the western flank of the Corton hill. Pernand contributes to the Corton-Charlemagne grand cru on its upper slopes; Île des Vergelesses occupies the premier cru tier below, producing red wine from a site with around 11.66 ha in registered holdings — substantial by Côte de Beaune premier cru standards.
Pinot Noir, red only. Thirteen producers work the vineyard at a minimum density of 9,000 vines per hectare and a yield ceiling around 45–48 hl/ha.
