Profile

History

Domaine Jacques Carillon is based in Puligny-Montrachet, the village that sits at the apex of white Burgundy. Puligny contains four Grands Crus — including Le Montrachet itself — and a deep bench of Premier Crus. The Carillon name has been present in Puligny for generations, and Domaine Jacques Carillon took its current form after the main family domaine was divided between siblings.

Winemaking Approach

The estate works five parcels across two communes, with both Grand Cru and Premier Cru land. All wines are white — Chardonnay grown on the limestone and clay soils that give Puligny its particular combination of weight and precision. Winemaking is traditional, with domaine bottling throughout.
