History

Domaine Gerard Thomas is a Côte de Beaune estate based in Meursault (Blagny), working nine premier cru parcels across Saint-Aubin, Puligny-Montrachet, and Meursault. The domaine's centre of gravity is clearly Saint-Aubin — six of the nine parcels sit within that appellation — with Puligny-Montrachet's La Garenne and the Meursault-Blagny premier cru extending the range. Founding records are not widely documented.

Winemaking Approach

Nine premier crus, all from three adjacent Côte de Beaune communes, point to a white-wine specialist working chalkier, higher-altitude ground. Saint-Aubin's premier cru sector is among the Côte de Beaune's most consistent sources of village-level Chardonnay with genuine mineral tension. Les Murgers des Dents de Chien (1.82 ha) — the largest holding — occupies a well-regarded south-facing slope directly above Puligny. The estate follows the domaine-bottling model; specific cellar practices are not publicly detailed.
