Profile

History

Domaine Paul Pillot is a family estate in Chassagne-Montrachet, a village better known for its whites but with a genuine red-wine tradition that persists alongside them. The Pillot family has farmed here across multiple generations, building up a portfolio centered almost entirely on Premiers Crus.

Winemaking Approach

With ten Premier Cru parcels across three communes — Chassagne-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin, and Meursault — the estate covers considerable ground. The style across the range favors precision over weight: whites aged in barrel with restrained oak influence, reds drawn from some of Chassagne's most characterful lieux-dits. Clos St-Jean, the estate's largest holding at 1.31 ha, produces a red Premier Cru that sits at the heart of the range.
