Domaine Chartron et Trébuchet is a small Burgundy estate based in Montagny-lès-Buxy, at the southern end of the Côte Chalonnaise. Montagny is a white-wine-only appellation planted exclusively to Chardonnay — an appropriately modest address for a domaine whose real weight lies elsewhere, in Puligny-Montrachet.
Winemaking Approach
The domaine works (3) parcels across (2) communes, a compact footprint that nonetheless spans from village-level Montagny to the upper reaches of Puligny-Montrachet Grand Cru. That range — a Premier Cru in the Chalonnaise alongside white Grand Crus on the Côte de Beaune — points to a producer with selective, quality-driven priorities rather than volume.
