History
Domaine Hubert Lignier is a Morey-Saint-Denis estate that built its standing around Clos de la Roche. Morey-Saint-Denis sits between Gevrey-Chambertin and Chambolle-Musigny — a village that produces reds with more structure than Chambolle yet more finesse than Gevrey, and one whose Grand Cru parcels can age for decades. Hubert Lignier was a foundational figure in establishing the domaine's reputation; his son Romain subsequently took over winemaking.
Winemaking Approach
Seven parcels, all within Morey-Saint-Denis and its immediate neighbours. The Grand Cru anchor is a 1.02 ha holding in Clos de la Roche — substantial enough to be a signature wine. Six Premier Cru sites in Morey complete the portfolio, including Les Chaffots, La Riotte, and Les Millandes.
