Domaine Hubert Lignier & Fils is a small Chambolle-Musigny estate — distinct from the better-known Domaine Hubert Lignier of Morey-Saint-Denis — working parcels across four communes in the central Côte de Nuits. The domaine belongs to the Lignier family, one of the more prolific winemaking lineages in the Morey-Saint-Denis and Chambolle corridor.
Winemaking Approach
Six parcels in total: 2 Grand Cru and 4 Premier Cru, spread from Gevrey-Chambertin down to Chambolle-Musigny. The centerpiece is a parcel of Clos de la Roche (0.90 ha), the large and muscular Morey Grand Cru that rewards long ageing. A sliver of Charmes-Chambertin (0.10 ha) rounds out the top tier.
