Les Millandes is a premier cru *climat* in Morey-St-Denis, a Côte de Nuits village wedged between Gevrey-Chambertin and Chambolle-Musigny. Morey holds an unusually dense concentration of grand and premier crus for its size, and Les Millandes sits within that mosaic as a mid-slope parcel. The name appears in cadastral records dating back centuries, tracking the slow fragmentation of holdings through inheritance and sale that defines the Burgundian ownership pattern.
Les Millandes produces red wine from Pinot Noir. Registered holdings total approximately 2.30 ha, worked by 12 producers. The mid-slope position in Morey-St-Denis gives the wine a Côte de Nuits structure — firm tannin, dark-fruited depth — softened by the slightly lighter soils that push toward the Chambolle border.
