History
Domaine Ponsot is based in Gevrey-Chambertin, the largest and most powerful commune of the Côte de Nuits — home to nine Grand Cru vineyards. The domaine has deep roots in Morey-Saint-Denis, where its holding in Clos de la Roche (3.31 ha) stands as one of the largest single-owner blocks in that Grand Cru. William Ponsot began domaine-bottling well before the practice became widespread in the Côte de Nuits, and the estate's long commitment to expressing terroir over extraction built its enduring reputation.
Winemaking Approach
