Domaine François Lamarche is a Vosne-Romanée estate whose defining asset is La Grande Rue — a narrow strip of Grand Cru land running between La Tâche and Romanée-Conti, classified Grand Cru in 1992 and monopole to the Lamarche family. The domaine has been in the family for several generations and is now managed with a renewed focus on quality that began in the early 2000s under Nicole Lamarche.
Winemaking Approach
Eight parcels across 5 communes give the estate an unusually varied portfolio for a village-focused domaine. Three Grand Crus anchor the top of the range — La Grande Rue (1.65 ha), Grands Échezeaux (1.19 ha), and Clos de Vougeot (0.73 ha) — supported by five Vosne-Romanée and Chambolle-Musigny Premier Crus. Fermentation uses a proportion of whole clusters, and aging in French oak is calibrated to let terroir expression lead.
