Domaine des Croix is an Aloxe-Corton estate working the Corton hill and the Beaune Premier Cru belt. Aloxe-Corton anchors the northern Côte de Beaune — the Corton massif it shares with Pernand-Vergelesses and Ladoix-Serrigny carries the appellation's only Grand Cru reds as well as Corton-Charlemagne, the celebrated white Grand Cru. The domaine extends its holdings south to Beaune and Savigny-lès-Beaune, assembling a portfolio that spans 4 communes and 9 parcels. Detailed founding records are not in public circulation.
Winemaking Approach
The estate holds 2 Grand Cru and 7 Premier Cru parcels. On the Corton hill it works Corton La Vigne au Saint (0.29 ha, red) and Corton-Charlemagne (0.25 ha, white) — both small but well-situated. In Beaune, Bressandes (0.89 ha) leads a cluster of five Premier Crus; Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Peuillets (0.57 ha) rounds out the picture. Detailed winemaking information is not widely published.
