Profile

History

Domaine Sylvain Langoureau is based in Meursault (Blagny) and works almost entirely in Saint-Aubin — a commune that sits between Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne on the Côte de Beaune's western flank. Saint-Aubin has long supplied wine to merchants rather than dominated headlines; Langoureau is among the estates that helped shift that perception toward direct domaine bottling.

Winemaking Approach

The domaine farms nine Premier Cru parcels across three communes: Saint-Aubin (the bulk), plus a plot each in Puligny-Montrachet (Clos de la Garenne) and Meursault-Blagny. All white. The breadth of Saint-Aubin lieux-dits — from Les Murgers des Dents de Chien on the hilltop to lower parcels like Les Frionnes — illustrates how varied the appellation's exposures can be, despite its modest profile.
