Sous Blagny is a premier cru *climat* in Meursault, within the hamlet of Blagny that straddles the boundary between Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet. When the vineyard produces white wine it takes the Meursault premier cru designation; were it to yield red, it would be labelled Blagny premier cru. In practice, white dominates here. The Côte de Beaune's benchmark whites emerge from this stretch of hillside, and Blagny occupies an elevated position toward the top of the slope.
