The commune sits at the apex of white Burgundy — four grand crus (Le Montrachet, Bâtard-Montrachet, Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet, and Chevalier-Montrachet) occupy its upper slopes, while a dense mosaic of premier cru *climats* fans out below and alongside them.
