コート・シャロネーズ地区のサン・マルタン・スー・モンテギュに位置するレ・ヴェレイは、このコミューンを代表するプルミエ・クリュの一つである。栽培面積は7.12ヘクタールを擁し、緩やかな斜面に広がるこの畑は、ドメーヌ・デュ・メ・フルロやシャトー・デトロワ、フランソワ・ラキエ、P&M・ジャクソン、テュピニエ・バティスタといった造り手が主要な所有者として名を連ねている。標高や土壌の多様性が特徴となるこのエリアにおいて、安定した品質を維持する重要な区画として知られる。複数の有力なドメーヌが所有を分け合っていることから、生産者ごとのアプローチの違いが反映されやすい環境にある。サン・マルタンのワイン造りにおいて、中心的な役割を果たす一級畑である。
Les Velley is a premier cru *climat* administratively attached to St-Martin-sous-Montaigu, one of the satellite villages within the Mercurey appellation of the Côte Chalonnaise. The Côte Chalonnaise sits directly south of the Côte d'Or and produces both reds and whites in a traditional Burgundian style — sturdy enough to age, accessible enough to drink young.
Pinot Noir, red only. Farming follows Burgundy's premier cru standard: 9,000 vines per hectare minimum, yields typically 45–48 hl/ha.
