History
P&M Jacqueson is a small estate based in Mercurey, the largest Côte Chalonnaise commune and the source of the appellation's most substantial reds alongside a modest flow of whites. Public records on the domaine's founding are sparse, but the estate works parcels across three villages — a range that reflects the Chalonnaise tradition of multi-commune holdings stitched together over generations.
Winemaking Approach
The estate manages eight parcels, all Premier Cru, spread across Rully, Mercurey, and St-Martin-sous-Montaigu. That trio of communes gives the lineup breadth unusual for its scale: the chalk-limestone slopes of Rully for whites and lighter reds, the fuller iron-inflected soils of Mercurey, and the granite-streaked hill of Montaigu. Vinification follows the domaine-bottling model standard in the Côte Chalonnaise — parcel-by-parcel identity preserved from vine to bottle.
