History

Domaine Marius Delarche is a Pernand-Vergelesses estate — operating from Aloxe-Corton — whose parcels cluster around the Corton hill. Pernand-Vergelesses sits on the back slope of that hill, largely hidden from the main Côte road, and produces both red and white wines across a compact appellation that shares the Corton Grand Cru with Aloxe-Corton and Ladoix-Serrigny. The Delarche family's anchor in Corton-Charlemagne (0.90 ha) is a substantial holding by the standards of that tightly divided Grand Cru.

Winemaking Approach

Three parcels across two communes. The Corton-Charlemagne holding produces white wine from Chardonnay on the upper slopes of the hill's west-facing side — the sector that generates the Grand Cru's signature mineral tension. The two Premier Crus, En Caradeux and Île des Vergelesses, are Pernand-Vergelesses village sites that add red wine to the estate's range. Documentation of specific cellar practices is limited.
