Domaine des Perdrix is an estate based in Flagey-Échezeaux, a commune whose administrative boundary contains two of the Côte de Nuits' most storied Grands Crus — Échezeaux and Grands Échezeaux — while sitting physically adjacent to Vosne-Romanée. The domaine was historically family-owned and later acquired by the Mugneret family, which brought a new level of rigor to both vineyard and cellar.
Winemaking Approach
The estate's signature holding is Aux Perdrix in Nuits-Saint-Georges — a 3.45 ha Premier Cru that gives the domaine its name. The parcel sits on the southern end of Nuits, where soils produce wines of grip and structure. In the cellar, the approach is careful: whole-cluster fermentation plays a role in some vintages, and the wines age in French oak with measured new-barrel use. The Grand Cru Échezeaux (1.15 ha) anchors the top of the range.
