History
Domaine Gérard Duplessis is a Chablis estate working six premier cru parcels across five communes. Chablis sits at Burgundy's northern extreme, where Kimmeridgean limestone gives Chardonnay its characteristic steely mineral edge. Founding records are sparse, but the domaine fits squarely within the long tradition of small grower-bottlers that define the appellation's character.
Winemaking Approach
With six parcels spread across Chablis, Fyé, La Chapelle-Vaupelteigne, Fleys, and Chichée, the estate captures genuine terroir variation within a single address. Each premier cru site brings different slope, aspect, and soil depth — Montée de Tonnerre's steep gradient versus Montmains' broader plateau, for instance.
