Profile

History
Maison Chanzy is a négociant-domaine hybrid based in Dracy-le-Fort, a village at the northern edge of the Côte Chalonnaise. The house operates across the southern half of Burgundy's appellation map, with a presence in Mercurey, Maranges, Santenay, Givry, and Montagny — a span that reflects the commercial and geographic ambition of a well-established maison rather than a single-village domaine.
Winemaking Approach
Seven premier cru parcels across six communes give the cellar substantial range. Mercurey anchors the portfolio, where Chanzy holds its two largest plots. The house style runs toward structured, terroir-expressive wines — the kind of approach made possible by a portfolio wide enough to contrast appellations but disciplined enough to keep a coherent identity.
