History
Domaine Changarnier is a small Auxey-Duresses estate with its center of gravity in neighboring Monthélie. Auxey-Duresses sits west of Meursault in a quieter fold of the Côte de Beaune — less traveled than the grands noms to its east, but capable of producing serious wines from both Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
Winemaking Approach
Five Premier Cru parcels, four of them in Monthélie and one in Auxey-Duresses, give the domaine a coherent two-village focus. Holdings are modest in size — the largest parcel, Les Clous, reaches 0.72 ha — and the wines are made in a straightforward domaine style without documentation of significant cellar departures.
