モンテリーのプルミエ・クリュであるレ・クルーは、総面積7.12ヘクタールの畑である。かつては村名格であったが、現在は一級格へと昇格している。位置関係としては、オーセイ・デュレスへと続く急斜面を持つレ・デュレスの北側に隣接しており、村の主要な一級畑が集まるエリアとは異なる谷側に位置するのが特徴だ。このアペラシオンでは、東向き斜面の高い場所を中心にシャルドネの栽培比率が高まっており、本区画もその傾向に合致する。主な所有者には、0.72ヘクタールを保持するドメーヌ・シャンガルニエや、ドメーヌ・ピエリック・ブーレイが名を連ねる。ワインは、ヴォルネーのような魅力とオーセイ・デュレスの硬い構造を併せ持ち、若いうちから赤い果実の個性を楽しめる。
Les Clous is a premier cru *climat* in Monthélie, a compact village tucked between Volnay and Meursault in the Côte de Beaune. Monthélie's proximity to those two famous names has kept it in relative obscurity — a situation that tends to favour the buyer. Its premier cru sites, Les Clous among them, share the same limestone-and-clay soils that define the hillside across the communal boundary.
