Les Maroques is a premier cru *climat* in Montagny-lès-Buxy at the southern end of the Côte Chalonnaise. Like all Montagny vineyards, it grows exclusively Chardonnay under the white-only AOC rules. At 3.50 ha, it is effectively a single-domaine parcel.
Chardonnay, white only. Registered holdings total approximately 3.50 ha, held entirely by one producer. Montagny premier cru delivers fresh, mid-weight Chardonnay — a mineral spine from the Jurassic limestone subsoil, with apple, citrus, and occasional hazelnut notes on older vines.
