History
Vignes sur le Cloux is a premier cru *climat* in Montagny-lès-Buxy, Côte Chalonnaise. Montagny is a white-wine-only commune — Chardonnay throughout — and its unusually permissive premier cru rules historically classified any parcel attaining minimum ripeness at that level, resulting in an extensive map of named sites.
