Les Macles is a premier cru *climat* in Montagny-lès-Buxy at the southern end of the Côte Chalonnaise. Montagny is a white-only AOC — all vineyards here grow Chardonnay — and Les Macles is one of the commune's named parcels within that restricted designation.
Chardonnay, white only. A single identified owner holds the parcel. Montagny premier cru typically offers fresh, lightly mineral Chardonnay at an accessible price point — less austere than Chablis, less rich than Meursault, with apple-blossom and light citrus as the dominant register.
