Creux de Beaux Champs is a premier cru in Montagny-lès-Buxy, the southernmost commune of the Côte Chalonnaise and the only one planted exclusively to Chardonnay. All Montagny premier crus produce white wine — no red is permitted under the appellation rules.
Chardonnay, white only. Premier cru regulations govern the site: 9,000 vines per hectare minimum, yields capped around 45–48 hl/ha.
