Les Damodes is a premier cru climat in Nuits-Saint-Georges, positioned in the northern section of the appellation near the Vosne-Romanée border. That proximity matters: the soils and aspect at Les Damodes sit closer to Vosne's character than to the more muscular vineyards at the town's southern end — a detail that shapes how growers and critics interpret the wine. Nuits-Saint-Georges holds no grand crus, but the commune's premier crus span a wide range of styles across its length.
Les Damodes covers approximately 3.22 ha and produces Pinot Noir exclusively. Nine producers share the climat; the five with measured holdings account for 3.11 ha between them. De la Vougeraie (0.92 ha) and Faiveley (0.81 ha) lead by area. Standard premier cru regulations apply: 9,000 vines/ha minimum density, yield ceiling around 45–48 hl/ha.
