History

La Condemine du Vieux Château is a premier cru in Montagny-lès-Buxy, the southernmost commune of the Côte Chalonnaise. Montagny is unusual in Burgundy: the entire appellation is white, planted exclusively to Chardonnay — every premier cru here is Chardonnay by definition. La Condemine du Vieux Château belongs to that single-variety tradition, farmed by one producer.

Style & Terroir

Chardonnay, white only. Standard Burgundy premier cru parameters: 9,000 vines per hectare, yields capped around 45–48 hl/ha.
