Les Bassets is a premier cru *climat* in Montagny-lès-Buxy, at the southern end of the Côte Chalonnaise. Montagny is a white-wine-only commune — every classified site here is planted exclusively to Chardonnay, and the appellation rules require no red wine at all.
Chardonnay, white only. Total registered holdings reach approximately 2.45 ha across 2 producers. Farming follows standard Burgundy premier cru rules: minimum 9,000 vines per hectare and a yield ceiling around 45–48 hl/ha.
