コート・シャロネーズ地区のサン・マルタン・スー・モンテギュに位置するレ・フルノーは、メルキュレのプルミエ・クリュに格付けされている。この畑の主要な所有者としてはドメーヌ・ラキエが知られている。名称はかつてこの地に存在した石灰窯、あるいは日照条件の良さに由来すると考えられており、その名の通り日当たりの良い環境が特徴である。栽培面積は合計で7.12ヘクタールにおよび、そのうちの大部分にあたる6.87ヘクタールにピノ・ノワールが植えられている。残りの0.25ヘクタールではシャルドネが栽培されており、赤ワインと白ワインの両方が生産されている。土壌は石灰岩が主体となっており、標高は約260メートルから310メートルの間に位置している。
Les Fourneaux is a premier cru *climat* in St-Martin-sous-Montaigu within the Mercurey appellation, Côte Chalonnaise. Mercurey is the most active red-wine commune of the Chalonnaise, and its premiers crus rival village-level Côte d'Or in structure and depth — at prices that reflect the region's lower profile rather than its quality.
Les Fourneaux produces red wine from Pinot Noir. A single producer holds the registered parcel.
