History
Domaine Michelot is a Meursault estate with Premier Cru holdings in the village's three most important white-wine climates. Meursault anchors the Côte de Beaune's white-wine identity — a village where Chardonnay achieves a particular richness without sacrificing the mineral backbone that defines Burgundy. The domaine also extends south to Santenay, where red and white wines occupy very different soils.
Winemaking Approach
Five Premier Cru parcels across Meursault and Santenay define the range. The Meursault trio — Les Charmes (1.32 ha), Les Genevrières (0.78 ha), and Les Perrières (0.50 ha) — covers the three climates that have historically defined the village's Premier Cru hierarchy, each with a distinct character: Charmes richly textured, Genevrières floral and mineral, Perrières the most structured of the three. Two Santenay parcels — La Comme and Gravières — extend the portfolio into red-wine territory.
