History
Domaine Michèle & Patrice Rion is based in Chambolle-Musigny, though the estate's vineyards tell a story centered firmly on Nuits-Saint-Georges. Patrice Rion comes from the Rion family of Prémeaux-Prissey, one of the Côte de Nuits' well-established négociant and domaine households. This operation represents the couple's own parcels, assembled across the southern Côte de Nuits.
Winemaking Approach
Seven Premier Cru parcels across three communes — Nuits-Saint-Georges, Chambolle-Musigny, and Vosne-Romanée — form the range. Nuits-Saint-Georges dominates in both breadth and scale: Clos des Argillières (1.77 ha), Les Terres Blanches blanc (1.23 ha), and Clos Saint-Marc (0.93 ha) give the cellar substantial raw material from that appellation's varied terroirs. The white Terres Blanches — a rarity in the appellation — adds an unusual dimension to the portfolio.
