クロ・サン・マルク
ニュイ・サン・ジョルジュ南部のプレモー地区に位置するクロ・サン・マルクは、行政上はレ・コルヴェの一部ですが、実態としてはクロ・デ・ザルジリエールの中に存在する0.93ヘクタールの単独所有畑です。かつてはブシャール・ペール・エ・フィスが手掛けていましたが、現在はドメーヌ・ミシェル・エ・パトリス・リオンのモノポールとなっています。この畑の最大の特徴は、周囲と異なる土壌構造にあります。岩盤が地表から約3メートルという深い場所にあり、斜面上部からの堆積物がスポンジのような役割を果たすことで、優れた保水性と排水性を両立させています。カルシウムとシリカが豊富なこの土壌からは、近隣の畑よりも凝縮した果実味と深みを持つ、極めて血統の良さを感じさせるワインが生まれます。
Clos St-Marc is a premier cru in Nuits-St-Georges, a town at the southern end of the Côte de Nuits. Nuits-Saint-Georges has no grands crus — a quirk of the 1936 AOC classifications — but it compensates with an unusually dense array of premier cru sites producing structured, earthy Pinot Noir. Clos St-Marc is a named *climat* within that network, with just over 2 ha of recorded holdings.
