Domaine Joseph Roty is a Gevrey-Chambertin estate with an unusually deep concentration of Grand Cru holdings. Gevrey is the largest commune on the Côte de Nuits, home to nine Grand Cru vineyards — and Roty holds parcels in five of them. Public records on the domaine's founding are limited.
Winemaking Approach
Seven parcels in total: five Grand Cru and two Premier Cru, all clustered within Gevrey-Chambertin. The portfolio reads as a focused study of the commune's finest terroirs — from the relatively accessible *Fonteny* Premier Cru up to the tiny sliver of *Griotte-Chambertin*. Wines are domaine-bottled under standard AOC regulations.
