Les Las is a premier cru in Montagny-lès-Buxy, a white-wine-only commune at the southern end of the Côte Chalonnaise. Like all Montagny premier crus, it produces exclusively Chardonnay — the appellation rules permit no other variety, and no red wine is produced within the premier cru designation.
Chardonnay, white only. Held by a single producer. Montagny sits at modest altitude with a gentle continental climate, and its premiers crus tend toward lean, mineral-edged whites with crisp acidity and moderate weight.
