Les Cazetiers is a premier cru in Gevrey-Chambertin, the largest commune on the Côte de Nuits and home to nine grand cru vineyards. The *climat* lies on the mid-slope above the village, part of the broad band of named parcels that extends north and south along the escarpment. At 8.53 ha, it ranks among the more substantial premier cru sites in Gevrey.

Registered holdings total approximately 8.The combination of Gevrey's deep soils and the mid-slope position gives the wines a characteristic density — dark fruit with the backbone that the commune's reds are built on. Domaine Faiveley holds the dominant share at 4.06 ha, giving a single producer unusual influence over how the *climat* appears in the market.
