Notes ·

History

La Dominode is a premier cru in Savigny-lès-Beaune, the red-wine commune northwest of Beaune that spreads across a small valley with notably varied exposures. At 6.74 ha of registered holdings — substantial by Savigny standards — La Dominode draws consistent attention from négociants and domaines alike. Its soils carry the shallow limestone and iron-tinged clay typical of Savigny's premier cru belt along the Montagne.

Style & Terroir

Pinot Noir, red only. The 6.74 ha climat is worked by 7 producers. Savigny premier crus from this side of the valley lean toward structure and depth rather than the lighter, more forward style found on the opposite slope toward Pernand-Vergelesses.

Notable Producers

- Domaine Jean-Marc & Hugues Pavelot (2.22 ha) - Louis Jadot (1.75 ha) - Chanson Père & Fils (1.67 ha) - Domaine Bruno Clair (1.10 ha) - Domaine J-M&H Pavelot
