Frémiets is a premier cru *climat* in Volnay on the Côte de Beaune. Volnay is the spiritual home of fine Pinot Noir on the Beaune side — its reds lean toward perfume and silkiness rather than weight, and Frémiets, at approximately 5.53 ha of registered holdings, fits squarely within that character. Nine producers share the parcel.
Pinot Noir, red only. Premier cru regulations: 9,000 vines per hectare minimum, roughly 11.0–11.5% potential alcohol, yield ceiling around 45–48 hl/ha. Registered holdings total approximately 5.53 ha. Expect the hallmark Volnay lightness of frame with red-berry aromatics and a refined texture.
