Domaine Mugneret-Gibourg is a Vosne-Romanée estate — registered in Chambolle-Musigny — whose holdings reach into some of the Côte de Nuits's most prized appellations. The domaine is run by the Mugneret sisters, Marie-Christine and Marie-Andrée, who took over from their father Georges Mugneret in the 1990s after his early death. Under their stewardship, the estate has built a strong following among collectors drawn to its combination of precision and depth.
Winemaking Approach
Four parcels across four communes — Flagey-Échezeaux, Gevrey-Chambertin, Chambolle-Musigny, and Vosne-Romanée — give the estate a Côte de Nuits cross-section that few estates its size can match. The approach favours careful sorting, moderate extraction, and aging that respects each terroir's character rather than imposing a house mark. Both Grand Crus (Échezeaux and Ruchottes-Chambertin) are small — 0.70 ha and 0.45 ha respectively — and are bottled without compromise.
