Les Cras is a premier cru climat in Meursault, the Côte de Beaune's largest white-wine commune. The name echoes the chalky or stony ground descriptors found in several Burgundian villages, and the site sits within Meursault's dense patchwork of named parcels — the commune holds more than thirty premier crus, each shaped by modest variations in elevation and subsoil.
At roughly 0.57 ha total registered holdings, Les Cras is a compact climat. Chardonnay is the only grape, farmed under standard premier cru regulations (9,000 vines/ha minimum density, yields capped around 45–48 hl/ha). Five producers share the site, keeping individual holdings small. Meursault premier crus at this altitude and aspect typically deliver the commune's characteristic richness tempered by a mineral thread.
