Les Vignes Rondes is a premier cru *climat* in Monthélie, a compact hill village squeezed between Volnay and Meursault on the Côte de Beaune. Monthélie's premier crus are often overshadowed by its more famous neighbors, which keeps prices moderate — but the best parcels rival village-level Volnay in structure and depth. "Rondes" (rounded) is another cadastral shape-name, suggesting a roughly oval parcel in the original survey maps.
Les Vignes Rondes produces red wine from Pinot Noir. Registered holdings total approximately 1.40 ha across five producers. The parcel's elevated position on the slope gives wines a firm tannic frame alongside the red-fruit and mineral character typical of Monthélie at its best.
