History

Le Vernoy is a premier cru in the hamlet of Poncey, within the Givry appellation of the Côte Chalonnaise. Givry sits just south of the Côte d'Or — the soils shift, the scale contracts, and both reds and whites appear — but the *climat* structure carries on in the same Burgundian tradition.

Style & Terroir

Pinot Noir, red only. Premier cru regulations apply: 9,000 vines per hectare minimum, yields capped around 45–48 hl/ha.

Notable Producers

- Domaine Desvignes - Cave de Buxy
